Motion Graphics Animation
The client, Cyberdogz, designed a new personal website for renowned comic book writer and artist, Dan Jurgens. Dan is most well known for his work on "The Death of Superman" and for creating the characters Doomsday and Booster Gold. Cyberdogz hired authenticWEB, the digital marketing agency I worked at, to create a case story video of Dan describing his experience working with them as well as the unique features of his new website. As the Senior Video Editor, I was responsible for all the motion graphics animation for this project.
One of the best features of the website is how it showcases Dan’s art in various stages, from the initial pencil sketches to the inked and colored pages. Cyberdogz was able to provide us with high-resolution versions of the same images featured on the website. I was able to use those images to create eye-catching animations that show the progression between the stages of the art. I also designed a custom comic panel-inspired look for the video with lines that look hand-drawn to mimic the aesthetic of the actual artwork. I also combined several stock elements with custom animation and effects to create dynamic transitions to bring the final video to life.
